The £500m project is the biggest investment ever to be made in education in the city. Every secondary school will be re-built or extensively refurbished during the next decade ensuring our children are taught in the best possible facilities. There will also be significant investment in primary schools.
Every scheme has been carefully planned with the needs of students at the heart. This is far more than attractive new buildings, it is about giving young people the skills employers want in the 21st century. The investment will help to raise educational standards and increase aspirations, opportunities and achievements. Liverpool City Council is working with local communities, schools, staff and governors to ensure they are involved at every step of the way.
The latest proposals for the programme will be before Liverpool City Council's planning committee on June 16. The new brand has been designed to capture a bright future for all Liverpool schoolchildren. Look out for it at schools and other key sites across the city.
